Grammy-nominated musician, Dee Fleming has dedicated his life to music—from playing church organ at age 3 to touring the world before becoming a Creole zydeco frontman.

Inspired by church and mentored by renowned keyboardist Alvin Shelby, Dee began playing drums at age 7. After moving to Louisiana, he discovered zydeco through Keith Frank, credits Lil’ Nate of Lil’ Nate & the Zydeco Big Timers as his biggest influence, and studied the music and performances of Clifton Chenier, the “King of Zydeco.”

At 18, legendary guitarist Boogie Long recommended Dee to Brandon of Grammy Award-winning Dwayne Dopsie & The Zydeco Hellraisers. His first show was in New Jersey alongside respected bassist Junius Antoine, launching tours across the U.S., Canada, Europe, Brazil, and South America.

In 2018, Dee received a Grammy nomination for Top of the Mountain and appeared in The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival: The Movie. He has also performed with Chubby Carrier, Corey Ledet, and Lee Allen Zeno, and shared the stage with artists including Taj Mahal, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Kingfish, and Bobby Kimball of Toto.

Today, Dee leads Dee Fleming & The Zydeco Train, bringing authentic Southwest Louisiana Creole Zydeco to audiences everywhere. His music has earned hundreds of thousands of social media views, introducing new listeners to the traditions of zydeco.
